This one goes out to Nanna Pincott who sadly passed away today :( It's bad enough having a family member die but even worse seeing our mum cry (it was her nan so therefore our great grandma.) She was 98 but you would never have guessed! Just the past few months she started going downhill. She had a great life though...always healthy until now. Poor old duck. Bless her heart.
It saddens me as I have just realised I don't have any photos of her & me together that I can find. WAH! So I got the next best thing & found this pic of me sitting on the steps of her house in Gatton where I have a lot of childhood memories (she then moved to Toowoomba to be closer to family.) The house in the photo was freeakin' awesome! They had a toilet that was outside & it used to freak Jodie out & she used to make me & mum watch her as she was scared of the daddy long legs that she thought were gonna get her. LOL It was an old house that needed a good paint job but the inside was so different! Very 50's but very well kept. Her kitchen was covered in tea towels on the wall & her entire fridge was covered in magnets. She had a room out the back with an organ & a whole wall of antique pencil sharpners that were brass & looked like dollhouse furniture as they were anything from sewing machines to pennyfarthings. So awesome!
Will miss her tremendously. It wasn't too long ago she wanted Jodie to drink a whole bottle of red with her...cute! The sad thing is that her son (mum's uncle) only has a few months to live but she didn't know that 'coz it would have destroyed her so everyone kept it a secret. Though it's sad to say it, it's probably better she passed away first. It would be terrible having one of your children die before you. :( I also bought her a present friday before we went to visit her in hospital but she was so tired we let her be. Mum told her we'd give it to her next time but sadly...there wasn't. I think I will keep it next to my bed though.
Sorry for being too sad. Thank you for listening.
